Aquaculture Laboratory is part of the Section of Animal Biology at the Department of Biology of the University of Patras. Its operation began in 2014, with the aim of contributing to the Aquaculture sector through both education and scientific research.

Research objects:
  • Rearing of marine fish larvae, live food, and microbiology
  • Microalgae cultures, photobioreactors, and antimicrobial activity
  • Oxygenation in fish cages and effect of fish physiology
  • Monitoring of microbiota and fish health status in RAS (recirculating aquaculture systems)
